Designing wine labels is one of the most important creative tasks for many Georgian designers. It is natural, because Georgia is among the oldest wine-making countries in the world, and some even believe it to be the birthplace of wine itself.
Many represented labels have Russian inscriptions on them, which is because traditionally Georgian wines were mostly exported to Russia. Since the Russian ban in 2006, the export has been focused mainly on Ukraine and Belarus, also using Russian inscriptions in most cases. |
